New York Mayor Bloomberg Moves To Ban Plastic Foam Food Packaging

by admin on 02/14/2013 · 4 comments

If New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg gets his way New Yorkers can say goodbye to their plastic foam used to make insulated coffee cups and takeout boxes. The plastic which is often mistaken for Styrofoam is not very easily disposable and costs the city millions a year in recycling costs, so the Mayor has proposed a citywide ban from schools, bodegas and restaurants.

As could be expected, New Yokers are already up in arms over their soon to be lukewarm coffee.  Thoughts?
