People didn’t catch the multiple doses of shade throughout that call. Just a guess, but Kanye must have some serious issue with Jay right now. Kanye was def top 5 material in 2012 though. I think people were mad he did the remix with chief keef and deal with kim k. . all these judges are old heads and as soon you step off the tribe they crucify you.
all in all everything he said was on point. old heads only check for you when you reflect their youth – because it validates THEM.
Once you change (or if you never reflect them at all) they never fuck with you and you get the hate. unfortunately for rappers the old heads are the most vocal and among the few who still buy music so their voice can be heard.

Agreed, but these young artists don’t show respect, for example Nicki Minaj coming at Lil Kim and Mariah Carey. That’s not cool, especially since young artists bite style of deceased artists like Tupac and Michael Jackson and pay tribute to the dead but fail to acknowledge the living legends like Jay-Z, and Eminem.

Rappers should stop take these lists a so seriously. This list is coming from MTV so thats not worth the bland-ass salad i had for lunch today. They havent played a music video in years. If it came from a more credible source like All HipHop (is that still around) then it might be worth something. Besides what is this list based on? Lyrics? Album sales? radio Spins? If any of these questions were answered in the video i deeply apologize for we are not allowed to watch them on our computers.

Was I the only one that felt his comments weren’t really directed at jay but more the way the Grammys accepted him but only if he got in a suit and tie and did a song with Justin timberlake, no way him and kanye were performing anything off of WTT, felt like they felt like they did their service to hip hop by having everyone perform swagger like us a few years back so they ain’t have to put any rappers on tv for the next few years but idk
