In this final installment of Javid‘s interview with author Tom Folsom who rose to fame thanks to his book on Nicki Barnes Mr. Untouchable we find out about his two other writing projects. In his book The Mad Ones: Crazy Joe Gallo and the Revolution at the Edge of the Underworld Tom tells the story of Joe Gallo from the Red Hook area from Brooklyn who had plans with his family and Nicky Barnes who he met in jail, to take over the mafia, before he was killed outside New York’s Unberto’s Clam House. While in his new release Hopper: A Journey into the American Dream we find out about actor Dennis Hopper who directed cult classics “Easy Rider” and “Colors” while having a tumultuous personal life and maintaining friends like artist Andy Warhol who he brought some of his first art from.

Good job life files. Enjoyed part 2 as well. Bought the Hopper book and it’s a good read. Anyone know if the Nicky Barnes book is still in print?
