And so I think that would be a great place for her story to end and really just be beginning, if they were to do her life story right now.”

On what career she’d pick if she had to change:
“Directing. I was very proud of producing and directing for the beautiful project ‘Five.’ Or I’d love to be a dermatologist. I’d be so obsessive about it. I’m fascinated by skin, products, and lasers. I go on the Internet and read all about it. I call it ‘laser porn.’”

In a new interview with GQ magazine the always stylish Pharrell Williams stays tight lipped but lets on a little about his plans to release BGC:

GQ: You’re working on a new line of boots, right?
Pharrell: Yeah. We’re working on some boots for BBC [Billionaire Boys Club]. But I can’t really talk about it.

GQ: Well, speaking of BBC, you’re releasing a women’s line soon, BGC, right?
Pharrell: Yup! And it’s crazy!

GQ: Will there be much of a difference between the men’s and women’s line aside from sizing and maybe color schemes?
Pharrell: Again, I can’t give it away. Somebody else will do it. [Laughs] But it’s definitely us. It’s signature us. It’s awesome.

GQ: Is it still on target to come out this year?
Pharrell: It may be in the middle of ’13. But you’ll be seeing hints of it in the marketplace in 2012.

During the 25-year boom that abruptly ended in 2008, the only principle that really mattered come bonus time was how you ranked against the guys to your right and left. The system was governed by a kind of atavistic justice: You eat what you kill. From the outside, the seven- and eight-figure payouts that star bankers earned could seem obscene, immoral even. But on the inside, the outlandish compensation reflected a strict, almost moral logic. “Wall Street is a meritocracy, for the most part,” as a senior Citigroup executive put it to me recently. “If someone has a bonus, it’s because they created value for their institution.” The sanctity of the bonus was built on the idea that Wall Street pay was simply the natural order of capitalism.

Trey Songz talks about his upcoming album Chapter 5 in his interview with Selita Ebanks for VMAN magazine.

Selita: The world has heard four albums of your seductive voice, and Chapter 5 brings some new Trey “Songz.” VMAN is a men’s fashion magazine that shines light on a new kind of man. How does Chapter 5 shine a new light on you?

Trey Songz: As I’ve grown from a young man to a man, I think a lot of people have been able to see that progression [in the music], as far as my fans are concerned, as far as consumers are concerned, and just the general public. So I’ve gone from “Gotta Make It” to “Top of the World.” I’ve gone from “I Invented Sex” to “Sex Ain’t Better Than Love.” I think life is about growth and I think fashion, in a lot of ways, is about growth as well. I think the new album will reflect very much where I’m going as a person and what I’ve been through. Music, for me, is very much an expression of how I felt at the time when that song was made. And it’s almost been a year and a half since I put my last album out [2010’s Passion, Pain & Pleasure], so we’ll see how much I’ve grown and how much I’ve changed since that album’s dropped.

Christina Aguilera loves her some sleep.  She tells the latest issue of Latina magazine how she unwinds when she isn’t shooting her television show The Voice.

On resting up from the intensity of shooting The Voice: “When I’m shooting The Voice, it’s intense. On a day like today, my ex has my son and we are not shooting, so I slept and I just slept. I love doing everything in my bed.  Eating, sleeping…It’s my domain and my throne…I do it all in my bed.”

On how she handles gossip and brutal reviews: “I don’t read them. Ever…Why read what people are saying—good or bad?”

On getting married and divorced at a young age: “Was I too young? Not at all. I did the exact right thing at the time….I definitely wasn’t too young. I have always been older than my age.”

Liz: Do you have a favorite workout when you’re doing it? And one you love when you’re done doing it?

Mrs. Obama: When I’m doing it? Well, running on the treadmill is after I’m done. I’ll do intervals because I don’t run long and those are a killer, so I’m always happy when I’m finished. While I’m doing it; I enjoy arm exercises because you can actually see what it’s hitting.

Liz: In the mirror, while you are working out, right?

Mrs. Obama: Exactly–you can see it. If only I could walk around like this (pretends to hold dumbbells and laughs).

“I think it’s a really special time to be a woman of color in this business,” says cover girl Washington. “The landscape of who has the power is changing. We are in more influential positions and are able to have a say in the stories that are told. I feel very lucky to be in the business now…”

Washington says she was inspired by a certain American Idol judge. “I grew up blocks away from Jennifer Lopez. She and I went to the same Boys & Girls Club. She was like the dancer who made it big and moved to Hollywood.”

Kerry says that years later when they met, she told Lopez: “I don’t know if I would’ve taken a risk in my career if it weren’t for you.”
