This video showing Chinese parents forcing their 4-year old son to run in the snowy New York Streets while he cries has now gone viral, receiving nearly one million views in a week and coverage from several news outlets including CNN.  The father who was on vacation in the U.S. when he filmed this video says he doesn’t care about criticism and is doing this so that his kid who was born prematurely toughens up.

This is an interesting idea, an organization in Sweden called the Swedish Free School Organization has designed a new educational concept which allows students to work in a classroom free enviornment either independently or in groups.  Their most recent school the Vittra Telefonplan was opened last August and hopes to help student develop a greater sense of community and creativity. Would you send your child here?
