Every single one of Tumblr’s 178 employees will get money from the $1.1 billion Yahoo deal, which means that if the site hadn’t let go of its three editorial team members last month, they too would have received $371,000 — each. That’s the minimum Tumblr employees will receive from the deal because of stock options, according to Crain’s New York. The first 30 employees will get an average of $3.3 million, and the first 10 are due an average of $6.6 million. But the edit team, which came on board in a splashy arrival last May but didn’t make their presence felt enough to survive until the Yahoo deal, wouldn’t have fallen into those higher brackets for a site that launched way back in 2007.

You heard right.  The Bugatti Veyron has been added to Dubai’s police car fleet it was announced.  It will be hard to escape the cops in this supercar.

Dubai Police Chief Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, an outspoken lieutenant general, tweeted a picture of the $1.4 million car, which boasts a beastly 1,001-horsepower engine.

The Veyron is the most expensive in a fleet that already includes two Ferrari FFs, a Bentley Continental GT, a Lamborghini Aventador, a Mercedes SLS and an Aston Martin One.

The Xbox One has a Blu-ray player, built-in Wi-Fi, 8 GB of memory, and an HDMI connector to hook it up to your TV. In an on-stage demonstration, Microsoft senior VP Yusuf Mehdi switched instantly between various entertainment sources on the XBox One, flicking between live television programs, music, and games with voice commands (“Xbox, watch TV!”). Quick grabbing commands and more precise gesture recognition should also improve not only navigation but game playing as well. (“It can read your heart beat,” according to one presentation. We’ll see.)
