Honestly…
I’m somewhat looking forward to the album, but I don’t want J to go too far with this “inspired” by the movie AG stuff. I mean, we know it is….but taking it down to the bar scene with Denzel walking through lookin’ klean…except now it’s Jay? That’s a “biter” move…
And this is coming from a JAY-Z FAN! Real talk…Love me some Jay-Z…but I need him to make up his mind on what he want to do…
The new single…it’s so/so…would be better without Pharrell singing a dayum En Vogue hook…
Ready for the next STREET single tho….ready for that…

Is this just Kingdom Come part 2? With some 80’s inspired rap tracks by G rap & Rakim & Nas era. I don’t mind it’s better than 97% of the hip hop that was released in the last 3 years, but can we just get a full Timbaland/Dr. Dre production LP. NO MORE JUST BLAZE OR SWIZZ BEATS OR PHARELL CAUSE THAT MAGIC DIED WITH THE BLACK ALBUM!

This guy was steady talkin bout how drug dealin was so old fashioned. But now, after watching this film, it somehow changed his views on the subject, and he begins to reminice & rap about it as if it were a key factor in his life, when really he claims to have experienced this lifestyle about two decades ago. LAME. This cover is weak & dull.

Sean Carter never been much of trendsetter. Just pure swagger-jackin. - Killa Cam
This ‘American Gangster’ campaign is proof to the statement above. He knows the movie is goin to be huge at the box office so why not jump on the idea. Good marketing plan. but Jays LAME!

But no matter what, you gotta RESPECT HIS GANGSTA. Ain’t many that can come out of Marcy Projects and rock with Prince William at Buckingham Palace!

Another thing, don’t ever underestamate Hov either. He can hand a mofo their ass on a plate when he gets ready.
