189k for what Nas is talking about is good. He is not rapping popular music…You have to really listen and pay attention to what he is saying…You have to think differently then the norm or pop culture permits. Majority of people don’t want to hear that stuff. Lil Wayne’s album sold because commercially he is hot now, rapping about things all rappers typically rap about…money, clothes, cars, girls, guns, drugs and gangs. There is a time and place for all rap. So its good lil Wayne sold 1 million and this was his first number 1 album…congrats youngin, just like its good that an album like Nas can move 189k units talking about what he is talking about and its basically change and promoting thinking.

I copped it. It’s a good album. But hos record sales for the week are just okay. Nas is too complex for alot of people, they don’t get him, thus they don’t like/buy his music.

Nearly 200k is not a flop for Nas, those are good numbers for him especially when u consider the kinda artist he is, his album sells should have been much much higher bcuz he’s such an amazing artist with great lyrical content !!! Congrats NAS !!!!!!!!

Alas… I must say, 189 K is very respectable when compared to the 19,000 lil mama put up and the 30 K that Fat Joe sold, Nas isn’t lil wayne, he’ll push a million over all. People always talk that “we’re tired of commercial rap” but if that’s all you support that’s all that will ever be sold! I’m not disappointed he almost sold 200K that’s enough with his tenure in the game to put some money in his pocket, he doesn’t get 5 cents off every cd like others so it’s cool. Anywho… I have a question I would like thelifefiles to post…. a comparision maybe - Who’s a more famous character, Dark skinned Jermaine - BIG or Jerome’s niece… - Nas by saying those two names without the rappers which do you think is more recognizable????

P.S. for those of you who don’t know… Dark skinned Jermaine, was the silly cat who wore suede in the rain, and Jeromes niece got shot in the dome piece on her way home from Jones beach….

As always…. Great Lyrics….. Weak, weak, WEAK production, producers need to step thier game up, finding a decent beat nowadys is like gold dust!! shits crazy! One.

I dont even think NaS even cares about record sales for as long as he has been in the game he already has a seat in hip hop history .
